Segregated cycle way needed here, not just a painted line on a dual carriageway where drivers speed regularly. To provide access to capability green estate.

Provide a cycle way bridge to cross the railway closer to town which allows cycle routes to be connected and safer cycling for school access

Newly built road with no cycle path. The road is uphill and cars travelling at motorway speeds, very dangerous. A separate cycle path is absolutely needed along this stretch (and as the road has only recently been built this is the ideal op ... [more]

The Leighton Rd is very wide & traffic moves at motorway speeds. There is easily space for a segregated cycle way along this road. At the moment travelling between towns along this road is incredibly dangerous. This road prevents me from c ... [more]

After leaving cycleway across bridge towards Stanbridge, the road becomes narrow with little space for cycles, a cycle path would improve the safety in this area.

Shared cycle/ pedestrian path along Luton Road.

The route to Flitwick station from Westoning and surrounding villages is flat and an ideal distance for cycling. However Flitwick Road is very busy with many lorries from the M1 and is unsafe to cycle on. Any cyclist using the road creates ... [more]

Such a dangerous junction for cyclists....not improved by the recent works.

Toddington High Street is not safe to cycle down. Cars park either side which leaves no safe room for children to cycle on the road and the path is not suitable to cycle on.

Children from Fairfield park cannot get to middle/secondary school without using this path. It is not wide enough and is dangerous. Please widen the path or install a cycle way.

The pavement here is extremely narrow and there are many cars parked on the road. It is incredibly hard for my son to bike safely on the road (because of where cars park and difficulty seeing cars often mount the pavement to pass other car ... [more]

Current cycle path is used by cars parking illegally. This forces cyclists to go around them and into oncoming traffic who aren’t expecting cyclists coming towards them because they think it’s a one-way street.

Cycleway ends here and doesn't go further north, it should continue into the town

There is a dedicated cycle path north of this point, it should join up to steppingly Road

There is a dedicated cycle path north and south of this point, this should be joined up

This is a steep hill that is difficult to cycle up, so having a dedicated cycle path would separate bikes from traffic

This section of shared use path is overgrown and needs clearing to give more space for both pedestrians and cyclists using this route to get to Arlesey Station.

To allow for cycling out of the village (and walking ) for enjoyment of the local countryside without the need for a motor vehicle. This is also on a local cycle route and would therefore be of wider benefit to the Central Bedfordshire, ind ... [more]

The addition of a marked cycle way would assist in encouraging cycling to school and also facilitate cycling in the village. If more cycling and footpath space results in reduced vehicular road space, it may assist in reducing the speedin ... [more]

Alternative route into Flitwick avoiding busy narrow roads from Flitton, Greenfield, Silsoe, Maulden

NCN 6 Protected route on High Street North including NCN 6 national cycle path

NCN 6p oorly marked on sign and on the road route needs clear marking

NCN 6 is poorly signed on road and cycleway need to be clearly marked

Needs some kind of provision to help pedestrians and cyclists to get to town and station. Too much traffic from too many directions.

Cycle link to middle school and connecting to cycle route at Baden Powell Way.

The problem is the current route NCN6 takes through busy streets. A pedestrian/cycle crossing for a rerouted NCN6 (Sustrans proposal 2 years ago) and a cycle path to North Station Way to link up with NCN6 to the Sewel Greenway.

Cycling on road with high speed traffic. Cycle path needed to keep lorries and cars separate from bikes.

Cycling from Southill Road into Biggleswade town is dangerous because the road is narrow and cars travel very fast on this stretch. there are also blind bends on this stretch.

Part of NCN6 cycle symbols are inadequate and the route needs protecting

Part of NCN6

Pavements are blocked by cars so can't use them as a cycleway

The country roads are narrow and cars travel very fast. Cycleways need to be created at field edges

The busway is a brillant cycleway but when you get to Dunstable it becomes dangerous and difficult to get to the centre of town. The signage is confusing and the one way streets take you a long way out of the way

Shortmead Street is part of the Biggleswade Greenwheel for cyclists, yet is a busy road with no cycle lane.

Protected cycle way for high st north

Very difficult busy junction to navigate by bike. Redesign junction and include protected turns for bikes

Segregated cycle way. High St south is really wide, encourages speeding

Shortmead Street is part of the Biggleswade Greenwheel for cyclists, yet is a busy road with no cycle lane.

This is part of a National Cycle Route 12, bit is “on road” would be better with a designated cycle way.

Derwent Road is a very wide road and although it has a 20mph very few drivers stick to this limit which makes it dangerous for cyclists. A cycleway needs to be installed or shared space created to enable cyclists to feel safe

This is a long straight road from Maulden to Flitwick which people cycle, run and walk along. It has no pavement. A man was killed Christmas 2016 walking there. It needs a pavement and cycle way. It would encourage commuters going to Lond ... [more]

Meadway shared path with cars blocking

Meadway shared path

Meadway to Kirby Road shared path.

Leighton Buzzard ambiguous - this looks very like a footway but there's a bit of cycleway off to the right behind that brown sign.

Poor link from housing development to bridleway - dropped kerb needed

Bridleway from housing development to new school - this needs improving for cycling.

Dropped kerbs needed at the entry to this new school, with no obvious cycle parking.

Bridleway beside new school - this needs improving for cycling to school

NCN route 12 turns left after these barriers - too tight for trailers.

Unpaved section of NCN route 51 - only short but still surprising.

Junction NCN6 and busway cycle route and bridge. Sadly no signs at this location so easily missed when looking for NCN6.

NCN6 as seen from the busway cycle path heading north west. There are no signs at this location so easy to miss.

Rough stone surface on the approach to Station Road in Blunham. Not suitable for cycle paths which should be smooth and sealed.

Shame about the surface on this otherwise excellent path. Grit and water are not a good combination for bike chains or presentable clothing.

Awkward afterthought of a dropped kerb. Really could have been done better.

Uncontrolled crossing. Badly placed bollards. These push users into conflict with each other rather than seperating them.

The dreaded barriers on the Morrisons Cycle Path. On Morrisons land and they insist they stay put for cyclists' safety - try getting a trailer round them or even a bike for that matter! Photo of someone trying to do exactly that: #58634.
